About the Job
Join Bridgecom's RF Systems Engineering team to shape and overlook the RF control path of our modem solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- RF control concept engineering for the full RF engine
- Timing analysis in line with 3GPP requirements
- RF driver reference code implementation (Python)
- Technical guidance of RF control FW implementation
- Control path validation in our advanced RF lab
- RF host board FPGA programming and OpenTap test automation
- System calibration concepts and implementation
- Modem EVB and RF engine integration and valiation support
Your Profile
- We would like you to have relevant expertise in transmitter and receiver concepts, architectures, and procedures for cellular systems like power/gain control, linearity, RF impairment corrections (e.g., IQ imbalance), digital predistortion, Crest-factor reduction.
- Proficient in analyzing transmit/receive chains from antenna to RF-baseband interface including the frequency synthesizer and in translating top level requirements into specification items for transceiver building blocks and RF components (e.g., PA, LNA, filter, switches).
- Knowledge of Cellular Radio/3GPP Standards (LTE, LTE-A, 5G NR) which includes RF aspects as well as system use cases and TX/RX waveforms.
- Good knowledge of RX performance metrics like ACLR, BER, EVM and spectrum masks
- Strong experienced in RF driver and FW implementation with strong proficiency in C, C++ and Phyton
- Experience in L1 control design and implementation
- Hands-on experience in HW board bring-ups, FPGA programming, RF test equipment and verification frameworks
- This role requires strong analytical thinking and the ability to collaborate and communicate in multi-cultural global teams.
Education and Experience
- MS in Communications Engineering or similar
- 7+ years relevant experience required
